Natalia Pikor from ETHZ will discuss "How fibroblasts coordinate antiviral immunity"

Natalia Pikor received her PhD at the University of Toronto in the laboratory of Dr. Jennifer Gommerman, where she became interested in the inflammation-induced remodelling of fibroblasts in the CNS. To further investigate the immunological function of these cells, Natalia joined the lab of Dr. Burkhard Ludewig as a post-doctoral fellow, where she explored the composition and role of B cell zone fibroblastic reticular cells in governing germinal center responses. In 2019, Natalia became a group leader at the Medical Research Center at the Cantonal Hospital in St. Gallen, and became affiliated with the Department of Biology at the ETH Zurich in 2023. Her research group continues to examine the role of fibroblasts in steering immunity both within secondary lymphoid organs and in neuroinflammatory conditions. In her talk, Natalia will discuss how fibroblasts coordinate antiviral immunity.
