uBICo Distinguished Immunology Speakers Series

The uBICo Distinguished Immunology Speakers series was established in 2015 and  sees leading Immunologists from around the world visiting Basel to present their work and meet with the Immunology community. In the past this series was organised in conjunction with the immunomeetings. In addition to presenting at the Immunomeetings the speakers would spend the day with faculty and students at the Department of Biomedicine and take part in an extended programme of activities that included one on one meetings with faculty, a lunch with postdoc, a presentation and discussion with the Immune PhD Journal Club and a faculty dinner.

The series is being rebooted in 2026 as a standalone meeting series with a new format that aims to facilitate both the availability of the speakers and of uBICo members in Basel. Speakers will still be invited to spend the day in Basel and to meet with faculty and students and these visits will culminate with a late afternoon seminar that will be followed by an Apéro to allow for continued discussions in a more informal setting.
